HACKING THE CLIMATE CRISIS

Our Work

Earth Hacks works with students and organizations to host environmental hackathons where we create innovative, equitable, and just solutions to disrupt and mitigate the climate crisis.

Environmental Hackathon

/inˌvīrənˈmen(t)l / (adjective) /ˈhakəˌTHän / (noun)

Definition: an innovation event where participants (hackers) design and develop solutions to Earth’s pressing climate issues. A solution could be a policy proposal, software, technical design, business plan, community model, GIS analysis, art piece, media campaign, or something else entirely.

Innovate

Join an event near you (or start your own!) and hack the climate crisis with a team of interdisciplinary problem solvers in 48 hours. Afterwards, access our resource labs and solutions database to mitigate the effects of climate in your community.

Connect

Meet local organizations who provide real problems tailored to the needs of the communities our hackers come from, and engage with youth across the globe. Each event builds tangible community resilience to climate change that everyone can participate in.
